What You Will Do:
The successful candidate will be Highway Technician 1 for the District 10 Hocking County Garage.
They must maintain CDL Class A or Class B along with tanker endorsement.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operate Basic Equipment (Flagging, Loader, Chipper, Skid Steer, Mowers, Chainsaw) Perform general Highway Maintenance duties.
Performs Snow and Ice control duties.
Perform Emergency Response, clean up and perform traffic control duties in a work zone or around an accident site.
Perform minor repairs & Maintenance on equipment.
Perform Miscellaneous labor and bookkeeping task, operates two-way radios.
Responds to general inquiries from the public.
This job may require overtime for emergency or planned maintenance operations.
Serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.

Skill in use of basic equipment & related highway maintenance tools; traffic control equipment.
Ability to recognize unusual or threatening conditions & take appropriate action; read & verbalize simple sentences; maintain accurate records; cooperate with co-workers on group projects; demonstrate strength to lift 50-100 pounds.
