Maintenance Worker/Operations Assistant

Hocking Metropolitan Housing Authority is now accepting resumes for the purpose of hiring a full-time?manintenance worker and operations assistant.?

Pay/Benefits:?The starting pay for this position is between $13-$17 per hour depending on experience and skills. Full time employees will receive health insurance, life insurance, pension, 11 paid holidays, paid vacation and sick leave, and other optional benefits.

Housing Maintenance Worker -

The Housing Maintenance Worker job will perform routine maintenance work on public housing units in areas such as plumbing, dry-wall repair, lighting fixtures, painting, carpentry, remodeling tasks, basic preventative maintenance and repair duties involving heating and air conditioning and electrical systems. This position is subject to emergency call-out and must be able to work overtime including nights and weekends and stand-by as required. This position requires a HS degree, mu using technology including working with Smartphones, computers, and tablets; must pass a criminal background check and have a valid driver's license and be able to lift 75 lbs.

Operations Assistant ?

The Operations Assistant will provide front desk and administrative support to Operations and Housing staff.? This person will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the front desk.? The position is responsible for explaining rules & policies of programs to applicants, assisting applicants to identify housing resources, and evaluating, verifying and computing assistance levels for applications based on HMHA program policies. The position is also responsible for assisting the Operations Manager in the processing of bills, and rents, and must possess the ability to multi-task while independently completing assigned administrative tasks and projects. The ideal applicant will have office experience, with at least a High School Diploma, and a valid Driver's license.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
